Selected Writing
The Sketches of Tlingit Artist Robert Hoffman
Walk halfway down Katlian St. in Sitka, and you’ll find Robert Hoffman’s light-filled, spacious art studio. Shelves filled with colorful paint tubes line the walls, sketches and art prints are tacked to almost every surface, and the air smells of cedar.
Youth Activism and Climate Change
From kindergarteners to college students, it is the goal of the Sitka Conservation Society to help the next generation of leaders be equipped to handle the challenges of the future and have the skills to solve problems that we cannot foresee.
50th Anniversary Display Design
As part of the Sitka Conservation Society’s 50th Anniversary, I designed a photo display about the history, present, and future of conservation in Southeast Alaska. It included historical photographs and the images of several local photographers, including mine. In addition to designing the exhibition, I conducted research, drafted and typeset written content, and handled printing and installation. The display was shown at the annual Wild Foods Potluck in Sitka, AK and later at a local post office.
