Blue Plum Festival Mural

The Blue Plum Festival is an annual music festival in Johnson City, TN. Held at the beginning of summer, the festival hosts bands from around the country. I was invited to participate in the festival as a muralist. Go Mini’s, a festival sponsor, offered one of their mobile storage pods as the mural surface.

From downtown Johnson City, we have a beautiful view of the mountains, which inspired the background of the mural. Drawing from the festival atmosphere, I created a design that includes people dancing and having fun to music. A palette of blues, purples, and pinks speaks to the name “Blue Plum.”
